Notice Of Public Hearing - Pw Standards Update, 2016 Stormwater Manual.....

A Public Hearing before the Gig Harbor City Council is scheduled for October 24, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. in the Gig Harbor Civic Center Council Chambers, located at 3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor, WA to accept public comment on a first reading of ordinances to adopt the 2017 Public Works Standards Update, 2016 Stormwater Management and Site Development Manual, Amending Titles 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18 and repealing Chapters 13.08, 13.12, and 13.24 of the Gig Harbor Municipal Code.

The City’s NPDES Permit requires adoption of Low Impact Development (LID) techniques and Best Management Practices (BMPs) as the City’s Standard in order to minimize impervious surfaces, reduce loss of native vegetation, and protect land and water resources.

The public is invited to comment at the public hearing.  Copies of the draft 2017 Public Works Standards and 2016 Stormwater Management and Site Development Manual are available for review and the two draft ordinances will be available for review on October 20th at the City of Gig Harbor Public Works Department, 3510 Grandview Street, or by accessing the City’s website at: https://www.thecityofgigharbor.online/stormwater-low-impact-development-updates.
